| Extended Details |
| The Biblia Sacra is Dali's largest published suite. These pieces are very rare to find and are very valuable. These images are known and loved by art collectors worldwide. They are known to be some of Salvador Dali's most beautiful images and it is easy to see why. These full color images extend to one or more edges and look even more vibrant in person. These pieces are absolutely stunning! The publisher, Rizzoli / New York exhibited the original paintings and the prints side by side. The prints are so much like the originals that the only sure way to distinguish one from the other was the paint on the originals made the surface uneven. If you are looking to add a special piece to your collection then this is what you have been waiting for. These images will look great in your home or office. |

| About the Estate |
Harriet Wolfson was born in 1905. She was raised in Chicago by her art adoring parents who passed their love of art on to her. Harriet had a passion for art history and started building her collection at an early age. Over the years Harriet and her husband Howard built their collection up, which included works from masters such as Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Calder and more. Harriet and her husband relocated to a larger house in the suburbs where they could prominently display their collection of masterpieces. Their residence became a much like an art gallery in itself to the locals at the country club. Harriet and Howard continued to grow their collection of artwork over the years until her passing in 2002. |
 |
| In late 2003 the estate of Harriet was brought to market. Her home was sold at auction for 1.8 million dollars. Her collection of fine art was sold off via various high profile art galleries including the Richard Gray gallery in Chicago. Her collection sold for several million dollars and is now spread across the globe in celebrity homes, museums, and various galleries. |
" A Major work from the Estate of Howard and Harriet Wolfson
of Chicago will be shown by Richard Gray Gallery of New York
and Chicago. Roberto Matta's La Revolte des contraires, 1994,
represents a Surrealist space of the subconscious, as well as a
reflection of the world as it existed after World War II "
|
In the spring of 2005 her heirs discovered that Harriet's collection was larger then they originally though. Due to space restrictions in their home Harriet and Howard had stored a large amount of their art collection in a private vault that they rented from a security company. This remaining art is a great collection including beautiful works from Dali, Calder, and many others. The family has given EJ Fine Art the exclusive duty of selling the remaining works. We have decided to bring this art to the eBay community to allow these pieces to find their way into homes of private collectors interested in picking up a great buy.
It is a great honor to be able to offer an amazing fine art collection to the eBay market. We take pride in dealing with such fine art and we are sure that Harriet would be pleased with the way we have chosen to offer her final works. |
